I recently saw some posts of people addressing the fact that they want to see more POC represented in a more romantic/fragile way.
That's what inspired this drawing.

If I'd ever have my own perfume I'd use this image and I'd call it "Eau'mazing".

Why did she have to be overweight?

Why not? Is she less fragile, less romantic because she isn't thin? Why should the artist not show support for the reality that full figured women are those things?

I see it as glorifying unhealthy images of our sistas. It's not about being "thin", or the politically correct "full figured". Why not show support for the sistas who are fit and healthy?

Everyone needs support and I assure you healthy sisters get plenty of love…you ever think that some one who's larger might see this a get a boost…if you're regular sized no one is going on and on about how terrible you are and not making clothes for you. I started out at 200+ lbs and after a day of shopping sometimes I just needed a happy place. I workout I eat healthy and slowly I'm losing my weight…you think I shouldn't be represented in the meantime?
If you don't like to look at overweight women you're in trouble. Some of us are big and happy, some of us are big and hating it, but you and nobody else has a right to deny that we are here. We are human, and we need representation just as much as everyone else.

Because thin people are already constantly praised everywhere. They are constantly being represented in adds, fashion, …
I don't even have the energy today to explain this. If you don't like my art or have negative critque on fat people, go away. You didn't need to reblog this. Fat people have the right to exist, be represented and feel good about themselves no matter what your superficial ideas are about health and weight.

the commenters above are, sorry to say it, ignorant and kind of sound stupid. if you have to ask why something is, maybe you should stop and ask why not?

"why is she fat"… lord jesus… smh… you see an image and all you can gather from it is the size? i roll my eyes at you for not realizing how much of the world caters to you and your size before your skintone…

Fat Art Mod and Artist Rimadeer owes your ignorance no explanations.
